Barney Smith is a working class . . . , er, middle class guy from Indiana. His dad was a working class . . . , er, middle class guy from Indiana, too. Barney was a life-long Republican until the policies of that party began to destroy his life and the lives of those around him; and, frankly, the entire nation.
