My favorite part of Republican philosophical theory is that they believe the American economy would have grown, suburbs would have been created, higher education would have blossomed, medical advances would have increased, markets would have grown, man would have walked on the moon, telecommunications would have become sophisticated, and trans-continental travel would be a daily occurrence if the government had just stayed out of our lives and provided no medical or economic safety net. Sadly, they cannot see that the middle-class (the class to which most of them belong), was a complete fabrication created by government intervention. They are only in a position to condemn this government because this government existed to give them the means by which they could object!
